The after-meal ritual

The meal is over when the goli comes out.

01

Clear the plates

Someone reaches for the jar. It gets passed around the table before anyone gets up.

02

One goli, not a handful

Let it sit on the tongue. Salt first, then the sour, then the spice — it takes a minute to say everything it has to say.

03

Let it finish

A long, clean, chatpata tail. The reason people keep one jar on the counter and another in the car.

Where it comes from

It started in Bawani Khera.

A small town in Haryana where the goli after lunch is not a treat, it is the full stop. Ours is the recipe that got passed around that table: anardana and harad bought whole, ground the same week, pressed by hand in batches small enough to taste every one.

Bhaukaal is the word for swagger up there — the kind a thing earns by being loud and honest. No chalk, no food colour, no dull finish. Just spice, fruit and salt with something to say. Now made the same way and shipped across the USA & Canada.

Good to know

Questions people ask

What exactly is a goli?

A small pressed tablet of fruit, spice and salt — tamarind, pomegranate seed, hing, black salt — that Indian families pass around after a meal. Pachak and churan are its cousins: soft-cooked pieces and loose powders.

Is it vegetarian?

Yes. Everything we make is vegetarian: whole spices, dried fruit, jaggery or sugar, and rock or black salt. The full ingredient list is on every product page.

How strong is it?

Tangy flavours are bright and sour with a sweet finish. Bold flavours lean on hing, garlic and ajwain and are properly sharp. Churan is a spoonful of loose spice; peda is soft and slow-cooked. Start with Anardana or Imli if you are new to it.

How long does it keep?

Nine months from packing in a cool, dry place. Keep the jar closed and it stays crisp; counter jars and trays are individually wrapped.

Do you ship to the USA and Canada?

Yes — tracked shipping to the USA and Canada, dispatched within two working days. Free shipping over $60.00. Prices are in US dollars.

Can I stock it in my store?

Yes. Indian grocers, specialty shops, restaurants and distributors get a trade account with its own price list and case-quantity ordering. Apply on the retailers page or message the trade desk.
